Community Involvement

Since we began Wealth Management Partners, we’ve remained committed to being active, engaged members of the Southern Maryland community. From speaking to businesses and organizations about smart financial planning to helping lead a local networking group, we stay involved because we care about our neighbors in Southern Maryland.

Community Education Outreach

Over the years we have been asked to speak to small groups on a variety of financial planning-related topics.

Random Acts of Kindness

As we celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2015 and again as we celebrated 15 years in 2020, we chose to celebrate by inviting our clients to join us in a “Random Acts of Kindness” campaign.

We were filled with excitement as 2020 began. It was our firm’s 15th anniversary and we had big plans to celebrate. As you might have guessed, almost all those plans were dashed.

The premise of the campaign is simple; give the $100 to someone in need. In 2015, we sent $100 to 50 clients and asked them to pass along the money to an individual or family in need (no formal charities). We then asked the clients to send us the story of their Random Act of Kindness. In 2020, a particularly challenging year, we sent $100 to 100 clients and asked the same of them.

Each year, we asked our clients to share the stories of their Random Acts of Kindness, and we compiled them into a booklet. Names and some details were changed to protect identities.
